HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR FAIRFIELD OFFICE
Job Purpose:
Our Risk Underwriter will be responsible for providing comprehensive credit analysis of both perspective and existing customers. This role will conduct risk analysis which includes reviewing Credit reports from various credit agencies as well as other internal and external data to determine credit worthiness of commercial accounts. In addition, the incumbent must possess good financial analysis skills that include the ability to understand and analyze financial statements.
Job Responsibilities:
● Conduct risk analysis which includes performing P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow analysis, industry analysis to determine the company’s viability in terms of financial strength and lending capacity.
● Perform various reporting for a variety of finance related projects that includes bad debt, BBC, Credit reviews, etc.
● Obtain financial reports (SEC, SEDAR, Moody’s, CRM, etc.) and input these financial statements on specific financial software.
● Conduct customer meetings and conference calls with varying level of customers from small partnerships to medium size companies to obtain relevant financial information.
● Complete project work relating to the risk and finance group when required.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
● Experience required in conducting customer meetings to obtain financial information from varying level of clientele across North America is a benefit.
● Good knowledge of reviewing financial statements and understanding key performance ratios in evaluating financials.
● Experience of reviewing foreign financial statements and understanding accounting policies across various countries.
● Ability to be self starter and handle a designated portfolio of customers to ensure customer focus and provide collaboration with external and internal customers to meet the desired results.
● Must be able to handle high volume of work and meet tight deadlines
Work Experience:
● 5-10 years of related job experience.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Basic experience of simple office/operational systems.● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).● Strong planning and organization skills are required.● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
Education:
● Bachelor's Degree Preferred
