Job Description:
As a Project Manager at The Severson Group, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining the impeccable standards of the Ralph H. Metcalfe Federal Building. You'll collaborate closely with our esteemed customer, the General Services Administration (GSA), ensuring seamless coordination and execution of all maintenance and cleaning operations.
We're seeking a Project Manager with a proven track record in managing Government Contracts and a strong ability to fulfill the requirements outlined in the Priority Work Statement. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential to effectively manage project documentation and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day custodial and maintenance operations.
- Supervise a staff of 13 janitors, ensuring seamless workflow even in cases of multiple call-offs.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the contract's requirements as outlined in the Priority Work Statement (PWS), particularly with regard to union/CBA personnel.
- Oversee and perform floor care activities, such as carpet spotting, carpet extraction, stripping and waxing, terrazzo floor care, scrubbing, and working on various types of flooring.
- Manage and execute parking garage and dock maintenance, including oil spot removal.
- Handle interior and exterior window cleaning, coordinating with external service providers for interior cleaning.
- Ensure proper grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal, deep cleaning of the plaza/pavers, and power washing as needed.
- Manage multiple conference centers within the building, including coordination of setup and policing.
- Maintain a facility of approximately 839,461 square feet, ensuring all custodial tasks are met.
- Adapt to unexpected demands from conference centers, weather-related tasks, and tenant needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Past experience working on Government Contracts
- Experience in working with union/CBA personnel is preferred.
- Proven experience in floor care and maintenance.
- Knowledge of parking garage and dock maintenance.
- Prior experience with both interior and exterior window cleaning.
- Previous management experience in high-rise buildings with multiple tenants.
- Proficiency in managing grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal and deep cleaning.
- Experience managing facilities with conference centers and large square footage.
- Ability to manage a staff of 13 with efficient coordination in the face of call-offs and additional demands.

Sick Pay: In accordance with federal law applicable to federal contractors, sick leave accrues from the start.
Medical Insurance: Health Care Medical Insurance Plan available after 60 days of full-time employment, with 50-50 employer-shared premiums.
Vacation: Ten (10) paid vacation days each anniversary year.
Holidays: Eleven (11) paid Federally recognized holidays per calendar year.
Bonus: Eligible employees may receive a performance-based bonus at the end of the year,
reflecting individual contributions and overall company health.
Parking Reimbursement: The Ralph H. Metcalfe Federal Building is accessible via public transportation routes however, TSG will reimburse a portion of any monthly parking fees incurred for candidates who drive their vehicle to the work site.
