This job is not a summer job but a permanent position. Looking for a part-time employee to work in the mornings & early afternoon. No Weekends! We are currently looking for a kind and passionate individual to join Rock N Robin’s Shakes & Cones. Someone that is open to feedback, and willing to learn. We need an Ice Cream maker to produce our handcrafted ice cream. As the ice cream maker, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and excellence of our products following recipes for dairy and vegan ice cream.
Ice cream makers are expected to follow a detailed recipe and clean all dish related items while making ice cream for multiple hours per day. This would be ideal for a person that has worked in a kitchen or possibly a line cook. Must have cooking experience.
- Ice cream makers will assist with inventory management
- All employees are required to follow basic rules, maintain a positive attitude, work hard, and follow all procedures. This is a part-time position, and we are in Old Town Scottsdale. Must have a Food Handler’s License.
To excel in the role of Ice Cream and Prep Lead, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Physical Ability:
The ability to regularly lift 25-50 lbs.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively between members of back of house and management.
Experience:
Kitchen/Food service experience is required.
Duties:
- Prepare and create a variety of ice cream flavors and desserts
- Operate ice cream making equipment and machinery
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor and adjust temperatures, mixing times, and ingredient quantities as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the production area
- Package finished products for distribution or sale
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation'
-Clean and wash any pots/pans used in the production of making the soft serve

- Strong knowledge of pastry, baking, and food handling techniques
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and measure ingredients precisely
- Proficient in cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Knowledge of food industry regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
