Job Description:
We are looking to hire a proactive and versatile Customer Support and Sales Representative to join our team. This dual-role involves delivering exceptional customer support and proactive sales outreach, particularly focusing on K12 educational institutions and potential enterprise clients interested in drone technologies.
About Drone Launch Academy:
Drone Launch Academy (DLA) is a leader in providing online courses and educational curriculum related to commercial drone operations. The DLA mission is to empower the workforce with cutting-edge drone education to thrive in a technology-driven future.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support -
- Provide prompt and efficient responses to customer emails, live chat, and other inquiries.
- Manage customer service software platform.
- Handle all inbound customer service calls, giving a friendly answer to questions and making sure issues are resolved.
- Handle customer interactions via social media platform inboxes, responding promptly to questions and messages.
- Manage, review, and issue student certificate submission requests for our current online programs - this may involve creating and sending certificates and other recognition items.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers and clients to enhance our curriculum and service offerings.
Sales -
- Engage in proactive sales outreach to schools and businesses potentially interested in our drone curriculum and services.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with potential leads to nurture and convert them into active clients.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, including response rates, conversion rates, and overall effectiveness of sales strategies.
- Manage inbound sales inquiries and process bulk course orders - creating and issuing invoices and sending course access codes.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure sales strategies align with broader marketing campaigns.
- The possibility to represent the company at industry events and conferences for networking and lead generation. Occasional travel.

- We need someone who LIKES talking to people and helping people. Since this position is a combination of customer service and sales outreach, you will be talking to a lot of people!
- Someone who is comfortable talking to people on the phone and knows how to effectively communicate over email.
- Someone who likes to get things done! We are a small company with lots to do. So we need someone who is organized, methodical, and takes pride in getting things done.
- Someone who is fun (or, at least pleasant) to be around. We are a remote-first company, but we come together in-person from time to time and are on zoom calls often. No grouches or negative people allowed.
- Bonus points if you have experience with drones, aviation, or the academic/K12 space.
