Store Manager

Position Overview: The Store Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, keeping the store organized & clean, and achieving profitability goals. Store Managers maximize productivity and profitability by balancing sales and expenses, identifying sales opportunities and setting customer service standards.
Primary Duties: Responsible for retail sales, operations, hiring and training. They must manage operational processes and resolve customer and employee issues. Managers demonstrate knowledge of the store’s purpose and goals, are willing to help associates achieve those goals, and dedicated to providing a safe workplace. The manager also is responsible for overseeing and making recommendations on store capital requirements and process improvements to the Vice President.
Performance requirements for the position:
· Maintain team schedules, time off, PTO, and vacations.
· Analyze daily sales reports, monitor store performance, and make effective business decisions.
· Inventory shrinkage less than .4% of total sales
· Paperwork and reports are accurate and on time.
· Maintain inventory levels, cleanliness, and store shop ability.
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
· Control weekly inventory cycle counts.
· Motivate, coach, and develop store associates to achieve sales and productivity goals
· Promote safe work environment by completing weekly and monthly checklists and employee training
Skills:
· 4 years high production/retail management experience
· High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of retail systems, HR practices, and retail operations
· Strong leadership, motivational, and analytical skills
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbal and written.
· Ability to thrive in multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities.
· Attention to detail with a strong ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
· Ability to develop others through observation and coaching.
· Strong knowledge of lumber & building materials

Working Conditions: Job requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, lifting merchandise and fixtures up to 50lbs throughout the store. It also requires frequent visits to the lumber yard and sheds where extreme temperature will be common.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
