Preschool Lead Teacher(s) assume primary role in designing and implementing activity plans, record-keeping, care and supervision of children in the classroom, communicating with parents and administrative staff, and delegates appropriate duties and responsibilities to teacher and teacher’s assistant.

Child Development staff benefit from consistent scheduling at preferred hours making work-life balance a little more accomplishable! Preference given to candidates whose availability could include the following vacant shifts:
Monday - Friday : 7AM to 4PM
Monday - Friday : 8:30AM to 5PM
Requirements:
- Preschool Lead Teacher writes and implements daily/weekly lesson plans for children in classroom that are developmentally appropriate for the children in care.
- Preschool Lead Teacher ensures that children’s physical, emotional, and educational needs are met through close visual supervision and observation of group and one-on-one interactions with individual children.
- Preschool Lead Teacher assists the Director in devising service plans for children with special needs.
- Preschool Lead Teacher ensures that necessary classroom records/documents are kept current, organized, and on file.
- Preschool Lead Teacher ensures, through communication with administrative staff, that licensing, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained in the classroom.
Education/Experience: Early Childhood Credentials plus completion of/currently enrolled in 9 additional credit hours in Child Development or related field from a community college or university. At least one year experience working in a preschool classroom at a licensed center. Associate’s Degree preferred.
